Thorough Construction Document Peer Reviews

Architectural Peer Review

Analyzing documents prior to the start of construction identifies potential issues before they become extremely costly. A peer review can occur during schematic design, design development and immediately before the drawings are released for construction.

Using a unique color-coded drawing overlay system, Ted’s emphasis is placed on:

  • coordination of each design discipline
  • inter-coordination of all design disciplines
  • coordination of drawings and specifications
  • review of code compliance
  • review of ADA and FHA compliance, where applicable
  • review of appropriateness of materials and details, including weather tightness of materials
  • review of completeness of drawings and details.

The success of this system is based on Ted’s years of experience coordinating large, complex projects and an extensive knowledge of engineering disciplines and building codes. Each project receives Ted's personal attention throughout the process.

At the end of the process, a red-lined set of drawings and specifications with copies of code, ADA and FHA violations are provided to the client. Ted can also provide a written report and is available for in-person meetings with the design team.
